Solid Chopping Knife
I bought this knife for kitchen use. That needs to be said because it is such an overbuilt knife that one likely could use it as a carry knife for outdoor use. It has that light bush knife feel.
Back to the kitchen. This is NOT a sleek, slim, slicer blade made to finely dice vegggies or chiffonade herbs. It's a heavy chopping knife I primarily use to cut down primal cuts of meat in order to grind. It also works well to rough cut tough things like carrots to make a stock.
Overall it's a great knife if you want a big, heavy chopper. It's ideal for trimming meat, spatchcocking chickens, rough chopping hard veggies, being used as a camp or hunting knife to cook with, etc. It's got a thick tang with an impressive flat ground taper. 14c28n is ideal (in my mind) to cook with. Comes with a sheath (attachments not included). This knife will make you feel like Andhrimnir (Norse god of cooking). In a world awash in thin slicing cooking knives this is the total opposite and a welcome addition to my kitchen.
