SHOP CASE KNIVESThe Case XX Custom Brian Yellowhorse Butterfly Trapper Mahogany Obsidian and Turquoise Limited Edition is a bold expression of classic American pocketknife tradition elevated by custom artistry. Built on the timeless Trapper frame, this knife delivers the familiar balance, pocket presence, and versatility collectors expect, while showcasing materials and craftsmanship that push it far beyond standard production. It’s a piece that feels rooted in history yet unmistakably distinctive in hand.
The twin blades consist of a clip point and spey profile crafted from mirror polished Tru-Sharp surgical steel. Known for its corrosion resistance and easy maintenance, Tru-Sharp has long been a trusted choice for everyday carry and heirloom knives alike. The high-polish finish adds a refined sheen, while traditional nail nicks maintain the authentic slipjoint experience Case XX is famous for. At 4.13 inches closed and weighing 4 ounces, this Trapper offers a solid, reassuring feel without sacrificing pocket-friendly carry.
The handle is where this limited edition truly stands apart. Rich mahogany brings warmth and depth, obsidian adds dramatic contrast with its deep, glassy black appearance, and turquoise introduces a vivid pop of natural color rooted in Southwestern tradition. Together, these materials create a striking mosaic that’s both rugged and refined. Each knife displays natural variation, ensuring no two are exactly alike. Brass pins and liners provide strength and visual warmth, while nickel silver bolsters and an inlaid nickel silver shield complete the build with classic durability and polish.
Designed and handmade by renowned custom knifemaker Brian Yellowhorse, this knife reflects his signature blend of traditional forms and Native American–influenced artistry. Proudly made in the USA, it represents a collaboration built on heritage, skill, and respect for materials.
