Lishen Knives is a custom knifemaker based in Bristol, Tennessee, where Cass and Christian Lishen craft outdoor fixed blades and kitchen cutlery in small batches by hand. The Northern Scalpel features a 1.9-inch drop point blade crafted from AEB-L stainless steel with a clean satin finish. AEB-L is widely respected for its fine grain structure, excellent edge stability, and ability to take a razor-sharp edge while remaining easy to maintain. The drop point profile provides a strong, controllable tip and useful slicing belly, making it ideal for precision tasks, light outdoor work, and everyday cutting duties.

Full tang construction gives the knife strength and balance while keeping the overall weight extremely low. The handle is crafted from Desert Ironwood, a dense and highly prized hardwood known for its rich coloration and dramatic natural grain patterns.
