SHOP CASE KNIVESThe Marfione Custom Knives Amphibian is a bold evolution of a legendary design, built in collaboration with Microtech and finished to exacting custom standards. Drawing from the lines of Microtech’s original Amphibian, this updated version delivers modern materials, refined mechanics, and unmistakable presence.
At its core is a 3.87-inch dagger blade crafted from Microtech’s proprietary Böhler M390MK steel. Developed alongside Böhler engineers, M390MK advances the already respected M390 formula with enhanced edge retention and corrosion resistance. The blade wears a DLC stonewash finish that combines the deep, low-glare performance of diamond-like carbon with the rugged character of a working blade. It’s a striking, hard-use combination that doesn’t shy away from real-world carry.
Deployment is smooth and decisive. The uniquely textured thumb stud invites a quick flick, sending the blade into action with authority. Lockup is handled by Microtech’s RAM-LOK ambidextrous crossbar system, accessible from both the front and back of the handle. It’s intuitive, secure, and built for confident operation whether you’re right- or left-handed.
The handles are antique bronze anodized Side Slab titanium, delivering strength, stability, and unmistakable style. DLC titanium hardware complements the blade’s finish, while a DLC double vapor blasted stainless steel pocket clip provides secure carry with a cohesive, tactical look. A lanyard hole adds another layer of versatility. At 5.38 inches closed and weighing 5.9 ounces, it has the substance and balance you’d expect from a serious folding dagger. Proudly made in the USA, it reflects the precision and innovation that define both Marfione and Microtech.
