Built for uncompromising performance, the Microtech Currahee is a battle-ready fixed blade with roots that run deep in American military history. Designed years ago for the U.S. Special Forces Boat Team 20, the Currahee carries a name steeped in tradition. “Currahee” is a Cherokee word meaning “stands alone,” and it’s also the name of the final mountain in the Blue Ridge range near Camp Toccoa, where the U.S. Army trained the first Parachute Infantry during World War II. That legacy of toughness, independence, and endurance is reflected in every line of this formidable blade.
The Currahee features a 4.5" standard edge drop point blade crafted from premium Elmax steel, known for outstanding edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness under demanding conditions. The versatile drop point profile delivers excellent control and slicing performance while maintaining a strong tip for precision work. A rugged black coated finish gives the blade a low-profile tactical appearance while adding protection against wear and harsh environments.
Built for reliability, the Currahee uses full tang construction that extends the entire length of the knife for maximum strength and balance. The black polymer handle is designed to provide a secure, comfortable grip even in wet or gloved conditions. A lanyard slot at the base allows for added retention and comes equipped with a braided cord lanyard and knocker bead, giving you extra control and quick access when it matters most.
Measuring 9.8" overall and weighing 13.35 ounces, the Currahee offers substantial presence without sacrificing handling. It includes a heavy-duty ballistic nylon sheath that’s fully MOLLE compatible, allowing seamless integration with tactical gear, packs, and field equipment. Every Currahee is proudly made in the USA with the rugged craftsmanship and attention to detail Microtech is known for.
