The Morakniv Amberg Fixed Blade in Swedish stainless steel and Deep Forest finish is built as the next step up for outdoor users who want more capability, more comfort, and more versatility in a single dependable knife. Designed for long-term use across everything from weekend trips to extended time in the backcountry, it blends durability, balance, and refined handling in a clean, functional package.
At its core is a 4.29-inch blade made from cryogenically treated Swedish stainless steel (12C27) produced by Alleima. With a hardness of 58 HRC, it delivers a strong, long-lasting edge that holds up through repeated use while still being easy to maintain in the field. The 0.13-inch thick blade provides added strength for tougher tasks, while the Scandi grind with a 26–28° geometry gives excellent control for carving, slicing, and general outdoor work. The spine is also ferro rod compatible, making it practical for fire preparation when conditions demand it.
The Deep Forest colorway reinforces its outdoor identity with a rich green tone inspired by dense woodland environments. It’s a natural, understated look that fits seamlessly into any outdoor setup while maintaining a distinct visual presence.
The handle is where the Amberg steps up in comfort and control. Built with a three-component construction, it combines a rigid PP core for stability with an outer TPE layer for grip and comfort. The shape is flatter and more versatile than traditional designs, narrowing toward the front for improved precision control. Textured ridges along the spine enhance grip during detailed work, while the laboratory-tested friction pattern ensures secure handling even in wet, cold, or greasy conditions.
Carrying is equally adaptable. The included symmetrical sheath supports both right- and left-handed users and offers secure retention with fast access when needed. It’s designed for practical field carry across a range of outdoor activities, from hiking and hunting to camping and bushcraft.
At 9.57 inches overall length and weighing 5.93 ounces, the Amberg carries a bit more presence than lighter utility knives, but still balances well in hand for extended use. It’s built to handle everything from food prep and fire tasks to carving, cutting, and general outdoor work with confidence and control.
Made in Mora, Sweden, it reflects over 135 years of knife-making expertise focused on function, reliability, and long-term performance in real outdoor conditions.
