The handle of the Whippersnapper is crafted from titanium, featuring a special Jeweled finish that enhances both its appearance and durability. The scales are made from Fedokume layered steel, a material developed by Olamic Cutlery to offer a distinctive alternative to traditional "fancy metals." As Olamic describes it, "the idea was to have our own in-house 'fancy metal' akin to timascus, mokume, and the like. But we wanted it to stand out and, of course, on top of that the material had to be actually usable. Sometime in 2017 we succeeded and the result was dubbed Fedokume." This innovative material provides a bold, textured look while maintaining practical usability.
