    Great Addition to My Rough Ryder Collection

    A huge beast of knife and one of the better Rough Ryder Reserve knives I've purchased in the last couple of years. The knife I received was razor sharp but the blade is not centered in the handle. The knife is also too large for the Rough Ryder Reserve container and it was very hard to pull out the knife of the round metal tin it came in. Compared to the Rough Ryder Reserves I've bought in the last couple of years, this one was one of the better made ones I've purchased in terms of craftsmanship. The red jig bone handles look great.

    A Mid-Lock Swell-Center Hunter! Classic RRR!

    Rough Ryder Reserve and SMKW is doing a stellar job at bringing back to life some classic traditional pattern knives with a modern flair. The RRR048 Coke Bottle is a prime example! The build quality is fantastic. The light pull on the blade is pleasing and the mid-lock functions perfectly. What's amazing is the pattern is almost 200 years old! Bravo to SMKW for bringing back this classic Swell Center Hunter that is older that the Coke bottle it is commonly named after today. Originally these FiddleBacks were a common knife carried by explorers, frontiers men, and anyone who needed a big knife.

    The D2 blade steel came razor sharp. The satin finish, the swedge, the long pull and the beautiful sabre grind add to the the historic beauty of the fascinating knife The strawberry red jigged bone adds a level of class that is hard to miss. Add the double ringed nickel silver bolster and you have a head turner that is sure to please any knife enthusiast. You can't go wrong with this one - especially at the low price of just $30! This one is a steal of a deal! Get it before they realize they should be charging $10 and inch for the 5 1/2 inches closed beauty!
