The Old Timer Frontier Pivot Lock Folder 132OTF Small Box is built with the kind of straightforward reliability that’s made the Old Timer name a staple among outdoor users for generations. Compact, capable, and purpose-driven, this folder delivers everyday carry practicality with a rugged edge that feels right at home in the field, on the jobsite, or tucked into a pack for weekend adventure.
At the core of the knife is a 3.10-inch blade made from 7Cr13 stainless steel, a dependable steel choice known for its balance of corrosion resistance, toughness, and ease of sharpening. The drop point profile adds versatility, offering a strong tip for controlled piercing tasks while maintaining enough belly for slicing and general utility work. Finished in a gray stonewash, the blade carries a worn-in, work-ready appearance that helps mask scratches and wear over time, keeping it looking serviceable even after hard use.
Deployment is quick and intuitive thanks to the thumb stud opening system. It allows for smooth one-handed access, making the knife practical when you’re on the move or need to get to work fast. The pivot lock mechanism secures the blade with confidence, giving you a stable and dependable lockup during use. It’s designed to handle everyday cutting tasks without hesitation while maintaining a straightforward, easy-to-operate mechanism.
The handle features a synthetic construction with a grain wood look finish, blending classic styling with modern durability. It gives the knife a traditional, outdoorsy character while offering the toughness and weather resistance expected from synthetic materials. The texture and contouring provide a secure, comfortable grip that feels natural in hand, whether you're doing detailed cutting or heavier utility work.
Carry is made simple with a tip-up pocket clip, allowing for discreet and accessible everyday transport. At 4.40 inches closed and 7.50 inches overall, the Frontier Pivot Lock Folder strikes a practical balance between compact carry and usable blade length, making it an easy addition to your pocket, gear bag, or glove compartment.
This is a knife built for users who value function over flash, reliability over gimmicks, and tradition backed by proven materials. It’s ready for daily chores, outdoor tasks, and everything in between, staying true to the Old Timer legacy of dependable tools that get the job done.
