The SMKW-exclusive Star-Spangled Firecracker Series from Bear & Son delivers a burst of patriotic pride with classic American knife craftsmanship and handles that look like they were made to celebrate. Created to honor the 250th anniversary of the United States, these special-edition knives combine time-tested traditional patterns with some of the most striking handle materials you’ll ever see on a pocketknife. Even better, each pattern in the series is strictly limited to just 250 pieces, making every knife a rare collectible that won’t be around for long.
This Trapper pattern brings the beloved traditional design into the celebration with a pair of hardworking blades. It features a classic clip point blade paired with a spey blade, a combination that’s proven itself for generations. The clip point offers excellent precision and control for detailed cutting tasks, while the spey blade provides a broader edge that’s perfect for slicing and everyday work. Both blades open smoothly and deliver the reliable cutting performance you expect from a well-built traditional folder.
The real star of the show is the handle. The scales are crafted from stunning red, white, and blue swirled mica pearl that captures the spirit of the American flag in a bold, flowing pattern. Every handle has its own unique swirl of patriotic color, creating a look that’s lively, vibrant, and impossible to ignore. These incredible scales also glow in the dark and reflect UV light, giving the knife a brilliant visual pop whether it’s in daylight or low-light conditions. It’s a handle that truly looks like a celebration in motion.
Measuring 3.5 inches closed, this Trapper carries easily while delivering the timeless feel collectors and users appreciate. It’s proudly made in the USA and available only through Smoky Mountain Knife Works, making it a special piece for anyone who loves traditional American knives.
