Shock and Awe: EDC, Tactical, Rescue and Indestructable
I rarely write reviews. I will trust no other knife for guaranteed opening with gloves in extreme outdoor conditions, that will still cut well in the kitchen. I am such a fan of this knife after ordering it begrudgingly not loving that it has a safety mechanism. The safety is is a non issue. It stays unlocked so the knife will always deploy, but it’s there if you are gonna go into Beast Mode. VALOX! Hated it at first but after research I am sold on this over CF Elite. It is warm to the hand in cold and withstands high heat without becoming overly hot. It reminds me of the Glock. Look up the stats on Valox before you knock it. I have the black blade and the stonewash; each has their place. In a tactical or defense situation it opens so fast even with gloves, that it makes one feel they could always deploy the knife (and lock it) with either hand even if injured, wearing gloves, in extreme cold or in rain. I love that it is stainless and the blade shape lends itself to both slicing, and stabbing.
Finally, it’s a Benchmade knife and an Osborn design!! Get it in 154 CM a truly great stainless steel, before it is gone. It is easy to sharpen and holds an edge very well. I have over 100 pocket clip folders: this is my daily and won’t go anywhere without it. Finally, I would not change a thing.
