High quality, extremely collectible handmade knives since the 1800s.
SHOP CASE KNIVESThe Ford Mustang was inspired by the World War II fighter plane of the same name. It was a single-seater with exceptional range – and speed. It was this quality that the Ford Mustang was built to emulate when it debuted in April 1964. The first generation Mach-1, introduced in 1969, made a statement – and a name-- as a powerful muscle car.
Today, the Ford Mustang is in its seventh generation and remains the standard for fast, powerful muscle cars. Boker honors this legacy in the form of the 1969 Mach-1 Damast Folding Knife, imbuing it with the spirit of the Mustang by infusing it with parts of the legend itself. The 84-layer drop point Damascus blade, hand-forged by Chad Nichols in the Wavepool pattern, is made from parts of the wheel hub, wishbone and suspension. The blade opens smoothly with a ball bearing and removeable thumb stud, and locks firmly in place with a secure linerlock. The handle is made of lightweight, high-strength aluminum with finger recessions that evoke the wings of the muscle car. Its Silver Jade color is reminiscent of the Mustang’s signature sporty appearance, while the gold-colored inlay in the front recalls the side trim of the doors and body. The handle’s sloped back invokes the fastback body style, while the detailed pivot screw mimics the forward action of wheels. Even the stainless steel tip-up pocket clip adds to the ambiance, recalling the door handles.
