Not every fixed blade is built for daily life, but the Boker Daily Knives AK1 Drop Point is. Designed by Alex Kremer in collaboration with Daily Customs, this compact EDC tool is handcrafted in Solingen, Germany by Boker Germany with a clear focus on minimal size, maximum function, and adaptable design. It’s a knife built for the rhythm of everyday carry—quiet, capable, and always ready.
At its core is a 2.99-inch drop point blade forged from MagnaCut stainless steel, hardened to 62 HRC ±1. This modern powder metallurgy steel is known for its exceptional balance of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance, making it one of the most advanced EDC blade steels available. It holds a fine working edge through repeated daily use while resisting wear and corrosion in unpredictable environments. The uncoated finish keeps the blade clean and utilitarian, emphasizing performance over ornamentation while maintaining a refined, precise appearance.
With a blade thickness of 0.10 inches and an overall length of 6.78 inches, the AK1 stays compact and highly controllable in hand. At just 1.94 ounces, it disappears in carry until needed, making it ideal for users who value lightweight efficiency without sacrificing capability. Full-tang construction ensures strength and stability, giving the knife a dependable backbone despite its slim profile.
The handle is built from blue anodized aluminum, offering a modern, lightweight structure with a clean, technical aesthetic. Its ergonomics are carefully shaped for comfortable everyday handling, whether opening packages, performing detailed cutting tasks, or handling general utility work. The removable handle scales add a layer of customization, allowing users to swap configurations through Daily Customs accessories. This modular approach makes the AK1 adaptable rather than static, evolving with user preference over time.
A reversible lanyard hole integrated into the handle design further enhances versatility. When the scales are removed, it can be concealed within the frame, creating an even slimmer and more discreet profile. It’s a small detail, but one that reflects the knife’s thoughtful engineering and minimalist intent.
A premium leather sheath with belt clip completes the system, offering secure retention and comfortable carry for everyday use. It balances accessibility with discretion, ensuring the knife stays protected yet ready at a moment’s notice.
This is a fixed blade designed not for occasional use, but for constant integration into daily life—refined, modular, and purpose-driven.
