The Breeden Torrent Fixed Blade by APOC is a rugged, hard-use knife that combines a compact kukri profile with a tough full-tang construction. Measuring 10 inches overall, the Torrent is sized for practical carry while still providing the blade geometry and strength needed for demanding outdoor tasks. Its 5-inch D2 tool steel blade offers an excellent balance of edge retention, toughness, and wear resistance, making it a dependable choice for cutting, chopping, and general field work.
The kukri blade shape gives the Torrent a distinctive forward-curved profile with a substantial belly toward the front of the blade. This geometry puts more cutting weight toward the front, making it particularly effective for chopping and controlled slicing. The broad blade also provides plenty of usable cutting surface while maintaining a compact overall footprint that's easy to manage in hand.
The blade features a two-tone finish combining stonewash and satin surfaces. This treatment gives the Torrent a rugged, refined appearance while emphasizing the contours of the kukri-style blade. D2 tool steel is well known for its excellent wear resistance and ability to maintain a working edge through extended use, making it a fitting steel choice for a fixed blade designed with hard use in mind.
Full-tang construction gives the Torrent a solid foundation from the blade tip through the handle. The black canvas micarta handle scales provide a rugged, dependable grip and complement the knife's utilitarian character. Red liners add a sharp visual accent beneath the black micarta, giving the handle a distinctive look without sacrificing its straightforward field-oriented design.
At 10 inches overall, the Breeden Torrent strikes a useful balance between capability and portability. It's substantial enough for demanding outdoor chores but compact enough to carry without the bulk of a much larger fixed blade. Whether it's used around camp, on the trail, or as part of a prepared field kit, the Torrent is designed to be a dependable working tool.
A black Kydex belt sheath is included for convenient carry and protection. The rigid Kydex construction helps keep the blade securely contained while providing a durable carry solution suited to outdoor environments. With its D2 kukri blade, full-tang construction, black canvas micarta handle, red liners, and practical Kydex sheath, the Breeden Torrent delivers serious capability in a compact package.
