The CAS Hanwei PSK Plus Elite Katana builds on a proven cutting design with upgraded fittings, traditional construction, and versatile performance. The 28" blade uses 1566 high-carbon steel and is differentially hardened in the traditional manner, producing an edge hardness of approximately 60 HRC and a spine hardness of 40 HRC. This combination balances a hard, capable cutting edge with a more resilient back. The Shinogi Zukuri blade geometry supports a variety of cutting techniques across different target types, making the PSK Plus Elite a versatile choice for practitioners.
The 11 1/4" tsuka features upgraded natural components and carefully crafted furniture, including the tsuba, fuchi, kashira, and menuki. New tooling gives these fittings a clean, defined appearance while preserving the traditional character of the katana. The construction is designed to provide a solid connection between the practitioner and the blade.
