Owning a knife isn't just about utility—it's about holding a piece of design heritage you can be genuinely proud to carry every day. The Chaves Knives Blue Label Phase 229 represents a landmark production breakthrough that brings a rare, custom-tier collaboration between Ramon Chaves and legendary designer Brad Blount straight into your pocket. Masterfully produced by world-renowned production house Reate Knives, this folder transforms elite custom craftsmanship into an accessible, hard-working tool designed to be used, admired, and passed down.
By fusing Blount’s organic, ergonomic handle geometries with Chaves' heavy-duty engineering, the Phase 229 stands out as a unique blend of sleek usability and overbuilt tactical DNA. Built around Blount's signature 3.75-inch Drop Point blade, it features a broad, sweeping belly for effortless slicing paired with a reinforced tip engineered for heavy piercing utility. Forged from high-performance European Elmax powder metallurgy stainless steel with a refined Belt Finish / Stonewash surface, the blade naturally conceals pocket wear and daily scuffs. It glides open on smooth ceramic ball bearings via dual thumb studs, locking into place with vault-like stability and perfect centering.
Equipped with textured Blue G-10 handle scales over heavy-duty steel liners, it pairs a bold, eye-catching color accent with a comfortable, non-slip grip that feels like a custom piece in hand. Opening manually via dual thumb studs running on ceramic ball bearings, the heavy-duty liner lock engages with absolute lockup. Every knife comes outfitted with the iconic titanium Chaves "Skull" pocket clip for an unmistakable badge of custom design, alongside an interchangeable plain titanium clip for a classic look—giving you a truly distinctive, guilt-free hard-use knife you will take pride in carrying every day.
