CIVIVI Knives teams up with the design vision of Pete's Pirate Life and creator Peter McKinnon to deliver the Iron Tide Folder, a rugged everyday carry piece built with real use in mind rather than shelf appeal. Model C25011-2 takes the spirit of the original PPK V2 Contour fixed blade and translates it into a compact, highly capable folder designed to move seamlessly between hard work and daily carry.
The Iron Tide draws its identity from nautical rope work and maritime function, reflected in its flowing ergonomic structure and hand-filling comfort. The forest green aluminum handle carries a clean, functional look while still nodding to its ocean-born inspiration. It’s lightweight, durable, and shaped to lock naturally into a wide range of hand sizes, giving it a controlled, confident feel whether the task is light or demanding.
At the core is a 3.24” clip point blade crafted from 14C28N stainless steel, heat treated to 57–59HRC for a balanced mix of toughness, edge stability, and corrosion resistance. The black stonewashed finish adds a working-class aesthetic while helping conceal wear from daily use. A flat grind keeps slicing performance efficient and predictable, making the blade equally capable in precision cutting and more demanding utility roles.
Deployment is fast, flexible, and intuitive. Dual thumb studs and a flipper tab give multiple opening options depending on preference or situation, while the caged ceramic ball bearing pivot keeps action smooth and consistent. The button lock system provides secure blade retention with a controlled release, tuned with internal spring tension that resists accidental opening while still allowing easy, deliberate disengagement when needed.
The handle construction uses aluminum for a strong yet lightweight profile at just 3.66oz overall. It carries a reinforced titanium pocket clip designed for durability and corrosion resistance, ensuring the knife stays secure and ready in everyday carry scenarios.
