Imagine standing at the edge of the wilderness with nothing but what you can carry, knowing every tool you have must earn its place. In that moment, confidence matters. The Cold Steel Pocket Bushman Folding Knife was created for those who refuse to compromise between strength and portability. Inspired by the legendary French Douk-Douk and refined with Cold Steel’s relentless approach to durability, this knife delivers the reassuring feel of a fixed blade in a folding design that rides comfortably in your pocket. It speaks to self-reliance, to the quiet assurance that whatever the task ahead, you’re prepared.
At its core, the Pocket Bushman challenges the weaknesses found in traditional folding knives. Instead of relying on multiple liners, spacers, and pins, Cold Steel uses a mono block construction, folding a single piece of high-strength stainless steel to form the handle. This creates a slim, minimalist profile while delivering exceptional structural integrity. The result is a folding knife that feels solid and dependable in hand, even when pushed beyond the limits most folders are expected to handle.
The real backbone of the design is the Ram Safe lock, engineered by renowned custom knife maker Andrew Demko. This innovative locking system uses a sliding steel ram that engages with massive surface contact, keeping the blade locked open under extreme stress. Whether you’re prying, digging, or applying heavy pressure, the blade stays secure, giving you the confidence to work without hesitation.
The 4.5-inch clip point blade is crafted from 4116 stainless steel, offering a balance of toughness, corrosion resistance, and ease of sharpening. Its stonewashed finish helps hide wear from hard use, making it ideal for demanding environments. When closed, the knife measures 5.75 inches, keeping it compact and easy to carry, while the full 10.25-inch open length provides excellent reach and control. Dual thumb studs allow for smooth, ambidextrous opening, and the reversible tip-up pocket clip ensures convenient carry for right- or left-handed users.
The Cold Steel Pocket Bushman is built for hikers, campers, tradespeople, and prepared individuals who need a folding knife they won’t baby.
