The Demko AD20 XXX 3V Clip Point Mk. III Folding Knife is built for those who demand serious strength, dependable cutting performance, and a commanding presence in their gear. As one of the largest models in the Demko lineup, the AD20 XXX takes the flagship MG (machine ground) platform to another level with oversized proportions, a thick blade, and carefully engineered grind geometry. Finished with a blue handle, this formidable folder combines a bold pop of color with the rugged construction expected from a heavy-duty Demko design.
At the heart of this powerhouse is a 4-inch clip point blade crafted from CPM 3V tool steel. Known for its exceptional toughness and resistance to chipping, CPM 3V is an excellent choice for demanding cutting applications where durability matters. The versatile clip point profile provides a capable cutting edge and a defined tip for controlled work. With a substantial 0.25-inch blade stock thickness, the AD20 XXX delivers impressive rigidity and strength when tackling challenging materials. However, this knife isn't simply oversized for the sake of appearance. Demko's attention to grind geometry helps maintain practical slicing performance, allowing the thick blade to cut efficiently while providing the reinforcement needed for demanding tasks.
Measuring 9.5 inches overall with a 5.5-inch handle, the AD20 XXX offers a substantial grip and an unmistakable presence in hand. Its blue handle adds a distinctive finish that stands out against the blade's rugged profile, making this model an appealing choice for users who appreciate both performance and visual character. Weighing 9.5 ounces, this folder has the heft expected from a large, hard-use knife. It's not designed to disappear in your pocket, but its imposing dimensions make it a standout addition to a serious knife collection.
Manufactured in the USA, the Demko AD20 XXX reflects a practical approach to demanding knife design. Its combination of tough CPM 3V steel, a thick clip point blade, and a robust folding format makes it a compelling option for users seeking a substantial knife for challenging cutting tasks. Whether you're drawn to its oversized construction, capable cutting geometry, or bold blue handle, the AD20 XXX delivers a rugged blend of strength, versatility, and unmistakable Demko character.
