The Demko AD20 XXX 3V Clip Point Mk. III Folding Knife is built for those who demand serious strength, rugged reliability, and a commanding presence in their gear. As one of the largest models in the Demko lineup, the AD20 XXX takes the flagship MG (machine ground) platform to another level with oversized proportions, a thick blade, and carefully engineered cutting geometry. Finished with a gray handle, this formidable folder delivers a clean, understated appearance that complements its heavy-duty construction.
At the heart of this powerhouse is a 4-inch clip point blade crafted from CPM 3V tool steel. Known for its exceptional toughness and resistance to chipping, CPM 3V is an excellent choice for demanding cutting applications where durability matters. The versatile clip point profile provides a capable cutting edge and a defined tip for controlled work. With a substantial 0.25-inch blade stock thickness, the AD20 XXX offers impressive rigidity and strength when tackling challenging materials. However, this knife isn't simply oversized for the sake of appearance. Demko's attention to grind geometry helps maintain practical slicing performance, allowing this thick blade to cut efficiently while delivering the strength expected from a heavy-duty design.
Measuring 9.5 inches overall with a 5.5-inch handle, the AD20 XXX provides a substantial grip and plenty of presence in hand. Its gray handle gives the knife a neutral, versatile look that pairs well with its rugged profile. Weighing 9.5 ounces, this folder has the heft expected from a large, hard-use knife. It's not designed to disappear in your pocket, but its imposing dimensions make it an appealing choice for users who appreciate oversized folders built with strength and performance in mind.
Manufactured in the USA, the Demko AD20 XXX reflects a practical approach to demanding knife design. Its combination of tough CPM 3V steel, a thick clip point blade, and a robust folding format makes it a distinctive addition to a serious knife collection. Whether you're drawn to its substantial construction, capable cutting geometry, or bold proportions, this knife delivers a rugged blend of performance and unmistakable Demko character.
