Finding a traditional hunting and game folder that combines ergonomic hand comfort with rapid, one-handed field deployment can be tough. Many classic outdoor knives rely on flat, boxy timber handles that slip during heavy cuts or feature stiff two-handed lockbacks that are difficult to open while working. The Elk Ridge ER-A004SW solves that by pairing deeply sculpted, finger-grooved reddish-brown wood scales with instant spring-assisted deployment. Outfitted with dual thumb studs, an extended flipper tab, and a versatile 3.50-inch satin drop point blade, it delivers exceptional grip retention and fast cutting readiness around the campsite or in the field.
Built around a 3.50-inch 3Cr13 stainless steel drop point blade, this folder provides reliable corrosion resistance and easy field maintenance. The blade features a clean satin finish with an ample curved belly for clean slicing and a laser-etched Elk Ridge logo. Constructed with a classic outdoor design, the scales combine smooth contoured reddish-brown hardwood sculpted with deep finger grooves, mounted over solid steel inner liners for structural strength and an ultra-lightweight 3.84-ounce hand feel.
Engineered for rapid access, the blade opens smoothly using ambidextrous dual thumb studs or an extended flipper tab powered by an internal spring-assisted mechanism. Extending to an overall length of 8.25 inches, an all-steel liner lock engages firmly along the inner frame to secure the blade during work. The 4.75-inch closed handle includes textured thumb jimping along the blade spine ramp, an integral finger guard, an elongated lanyard slot, and a satin-finished skeletonized stainless steel pocket clip for right-hand tip-down carry.
