Finding a traditional hunting folder that pairs natural hardwood character with swift, one-handed tactical accessibility can be difficult. Many classic game folders are thick, lockback knives requiring two hands to pry open with a stiff nail nick, making quick field tasks or game prep cumbersome. The Elk Ridge ER-A936ZW solves that by wrapping an ergonomic, full-grip stainless steel chassis in beautifully grained natural zebra wood scales. Powered by responsive spring-assisted thumb stud deployment and fitted with an extended spine-jimped drop point blade, it delivers traditional camp elegance with modern one-handed cutting speed.
Built around a 3.10-inch 3Cr13 stainless steel drop point blade, this folder provides reliable corrosion resistance and easy field maintenance. The blade features a clean satin finish with a generous slicing belly and a laser-etched Elk Ridge logo. Constructed with a composite handle design, the scales combine smooth, contoured natural zebrawood showing distinct, contrasting grain patterns, mounted over full steel inner liners for structural rigidity and a heavy-duty 5.60-ounce hand feel.
Engineered for rapid access, the blade opens smoothly using ambidextrous dual thumb studs powered by an internal spring-assisted mechanism. Extending to an overall length of 7.60 inches, an all-steel liner lock engages firmly along the inner frame to secure the blade during use. The 4.50-inch closed handle includes contoured finger grooves, a pronounced palm swell, aggressive spine jimping along the blade thumb ramp, an exposed steel pommel with an integrated lanyard slot, and a matte grey/black stainless steel pocket clip for right-hand tip-down carry.
