The 3.125-inch tanto blade is crafted from 80CRV2 steel and measures .165-inch thick, providing a rugged foundation for everyday performance. Its tumbled parkerized finish provides a subdued, work-ready look and is designed to withstand the wear associated with day-to-day use.
The OD green G-10 handle offers a durable and comfortable grip while keeping the Balor lightweight at just 3.5 ounces. Gahagan Customs has paired the handle with a subtle fade throughout the G-10 scale, giving each knife a unique appearance. The Balor reflects the experience and craftsmanship of Kyle Gahagan, whose interest in knifemaking began at just 10 years old while visiting his grandparents in Walterboro, South Carolina. After serving with the 1st Ranger Battalion and completing two tours in Afghanistan and two in Iraq, Kyle returned to his passion for knifemaking. What started as a garage hobby eventually developed into a skilled craft and family-sustaining business.
Kyle earned his ABS Journeyman Smith rating at the 2015 Blade Show in Atlanta and appeared on Forged in Fire in 2016. His knives have also been featured in Blade Magazine, Knife Magazine, and other publications. His experience as an outdoorsman and his commitment to craftsmanship continue to shape knives designed around real-world use.
