The Gahagan Customs Cairn is a compact EDC fixed blade designed to deliver everyday functionality in a lightweight, easy-to-carry package. Born from the Alviss EDC, the Cairn maintains the practical design philosophy of its predecessor while adding a versatile sheepsfoot-style blade. Measuring 6.5 inches overall with a 3-inch blade and weighing just 3.8 ounces, it's compact enough for convenient carry and concealment while still offering the dependable performance you'd expect from a Gahagan Customs fixed blade.
The 80CRV2 blade measures .165 inches thick, providing a rugged cutting platform that's well suited for everyday tasks. The sheepsfoot profile offers practical edge geometry and a distinctive appearance, while the compact size keeps the knife manageable and comfortable to carry. The blue G-10 handle features a subtle fade throughout the scale, giving each knife a unique appearance as results may vary. Durable and comfortable in hand, the G-10 handle provides a secure grip while adding a distinctive custom touch to this hardworking EDC.
A black Kydex retention sheath is included for secure carry and convenient access. The durable sheath helps protect the blade when it's not in use while complementing the Cairn's streamlined design. Lightweight, compact, and purpose-built, the Cairn makes an excellent choice for anyone looking for a capable fixed blade that won't weigh down their everyday carry.
Gahagan Customs is built around the craftsmanship and experience of knifemaker Kyle Gahagan. Kyle developed his passion for knifemaking at an early age before serving with the 1st Ranger Battalion and completing tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. After his military service, he returned to knifemaking in the early 2000s, turning a garage hobby into a respected family business focused on rugged, dependable knives. Years of research, hands-on experience, and collaboration with accomplished bladesmiths have helped shape the distinctive style behind Gahagan Customs.
Kyle earned his ABS Journeyman Smith rating at the 2015 Blade Show in Atlanta and appeared on Forged in Fire in 2016. His work has also been featured in Blade Magazine and Knife Magazine. The Cairn reflects his commitment to practical design and hard-use performance, combining a compact profile, durable 80CRV2 steel, and a comfortable G-10 handle in a versatile everyday fixed blade.
