The Gahagan Customs Doug Marcaida Collab Scorpion Fixed Blade brings together the craftsmanship of Kyle Gahagan and the vision of Doug Marcaida in a limited-edition everyday carry knife inspired by the action-thriller comic book series Lineage. Designed with a sleek profile, balanced ergonomics, and a distinctive look, the Scorpion delivers the kind of practical functionality that makes it well suited for everyday carry while offering the exclusivity collectors appreciate.
The 3.375-inch blade is crafted from 80CRV2 steel and measures .125-inch thick, giving this compact fixed blade a rugged foundation for everyday cutting tasks. Its streamlined design provides a capable cutting tool without unnecessary bulk, while the 7.625-inch overall length offers a comfortable balance between carryability and usability. At only 3.29 ounces, the Scorpion is remarkably lightweight, making it easy to add to an EDC setup without weighing down your gear.
A durable G-10 handle provides a secure, comfortable grip and complements the knife's lightweight construction. The handle's ergonomic design helps create a balanced feel in hand, while the overall profile gives the Scorpion a clean, purposeful appearance inspired by the world of Lineage. Whether you're carrying it for routine cutting chores, adding it to a collection, or simply appreciating the work behind a limited-edition collaboration, the Scorpion stands apart from ordinary EDC knives.
Each Scorpion includes a Kydex retention sheath for secure carry and convenient access. The sheath keeps the knife protected when not in use and complements its streamlined profile, making the Scorpion a practical companion for everyday gear.
The collaboration also brings together two distinct paths in knifemaking and design. Kyle Gahagan's passion for knives began when he was just 10 years old while visiting his grandparents in Walterboro, South Carolina. After serving with the 1st Ranger Battalion and completing two tours in Afghanistan and two in Iraq, Kyle returned to knifemaking and developed his garage hobby into a professional craft and family-sustaining business.
Kyle earned his ABS Journeyman Smith rating at the 2015 Blade Show in Atlanta and appeared on Forged in Fire in 2016. His work has been featured in Blade Magazine, Knife Magazine, and other publications. His experience as an outdoorsman and dedication to creating functional knives are reflected in the Scorpion's practical design.
Forged from the world of Lineage and built for everyday carry, the Scorpion strikes a balance between collectible appeal and real-world utility. With its limited-edition status, lightweight construction, and distinctive design, it's a memorable collaboration for fans of Doug Marcaida, Lineage, and Gahagan Customs.
