The Gahagan Customs Guardian Ringed Fixed Blade brings a distinctive design to everyday carry, combining a compact fixed-blade profile with the unique functionality of Gahagan Customs’ Ringed Series. A circular ring is incorporated directly into the design, giving the Guardian a secure and controlled feel while keeping the overall package lightweight at just 3.3 ounces. Whether it’s carried as an everyday companion or kept ready for demanding cutting tasks, this is a fixed blade designed with practical carry and usability in mind.
The 3.25-inch blade is crafted from 80CRV2 steel and features a substantial .165-inch thickness, giving the Guardian a rugged foundation for everyday cutting chores. Its compact size keeps it easy to carry, while the fixed-blade construction provides immediate access without the need for an opening mechanism. With an overall length of 7.375 inches, the Guardian offers a well-balanced combination of blade length and maneuverability without becoming unnecessarily bulky.
A textured black G-10 handle provides a durable grip and helps give the knife its rugged, understated appearance. The integrated ring adds another dimension to the handle design, helping promote control and a confident grip during use. At only 3.3 ounces, the Guardian is light enough for comfortable everyday carry while still offering the solid feel expected from a purpose-built fixed blade. It’s a compact knife that doesn’t sacrifice functionality for convenience.
The Guardian Ringed Fixed Blade reflects the hands-on craftsmanship of Kyle Gahagan, whose interest in knifemaking began at age 10 while visiting his grandparents in Walterboro, South Carolina. What started as tinkering and shaping tools eventually developed into a lifelong pursuit of the craft. After serving with the 1st Ranger Battalion and completing four overseas deployments, Kyle returned to North Carolina with his wife, Dana, and renewed his focus on knifemaking in the early 2000s.
That garage hobby eventually became Gahagan Customs, where Kyle continues to build knives with the end user in mind. His experience as an outdoorsman, extensive study of the craft, and work alongside accomplished bladesmiths have helped shape his distinctive approach to knife design. Kyle earned his ABS Journeyman Smith rating at the 2015 Blade Show in Atlanta and appeared on Forged in Fire in 2016. His work has also been featured in Blade Magazine, Knife Magazine, and other publications.
With its lightweight construction, textured black G-10 handle, rugged 80CRV2 blade, and distinctive integrated ring, the Gahagan Customs Guardian is a capable everyday fixed blade with plenty of character. It’s compact, controllable, and built around the practical needs of the person carrying it.
