The Gahagan Customs Guardian Ringed Fixed Blade offers a distinctive take on everyday carry, combining a compact fixed-blade design with the unique styling of Gahagan Customs’ Ringed Series. A circular ring is incorporated into the design, providing another point of control while giving the Guardian its unmistakable profile. Lightweight at just 3.3 ounces, it’s an easy knife to carry every day and a dependable companion for a variety of cutting tasks.
The 3.25-inch blade is crafted from 80CRV2 steel and features a substantial .165-inch thickness. This rugged blade steel and stout construction give the Guardian the strength and durability expected from a purpose-built fixed blade. Its compact size keeps it maneuverable and convenient for everyday carry, while the fixed-blade design provides immediate access without requiring an opening mechanism. Measuring 7.375 inches overall, the Guardian delivers useful cutting capability without unnecessary bulk.
The textured OD green G-10 handle gives this Guardian a rugged appearance that fits naturally into an everyday carry or outdoor setup. G-10 is well suited to hard-use applications, and the textured surface provides a secure gripping area for confident handling. The integrated ring complements the handle design, helping promote control while adding a distinctive touch to the knife’s overall appearance. At only 3.3 ounces, the Guardian won’t weigh down your gear while still offering a substantial 80CRV2 blade.
The Guardian is a product of Kyle Gahagan’s lifelong dedication to knifemaking. Growing up in Atlanta, Georgia, Kyle began developing his passion for the craft at age 10 while visiting his grandparents in Walterboro, South Carolina. His early interest in shaping objects into useful tools eventually became a serious pursuit. After serving with the 1st Ranger Battalion, including two tours in Afghanistan and two in Iraq, Kyle returned to North Carolina with his wife, Dana, and renewed his focus on knifemaking in the early 2000s.
What began as a garage hobby developed into Gahagan Customs, where Kyle continues to create knives with the end user in mind. His extensive research, hands-on experience, and work with accomplished bladesmiths have helped him refine his own distinctive style. Kyle earned his ABS Journeyman Smith rating at the 2015 Blade Show in Atlanta and appeared on Forged in Fire in 2016. His work has also been featured in Blade Magazine, Knife Magazine, and other publications.
With its textured OD green G-10 handle, rugged 80CRV2 blade, integrated ring, and lightweight construction, the Guardian makes a strong everyday companion. It’s compact, controllable, and built with the practical functionality that defines Gahagan Customs.
