The Gahagan Customs Guardian Ringed Fixed Blade brings a distinctive approach to everyday carry with a compact design built around the unique Gahagan Customs Ringed Series. A circular ring is incorporated into the fixed-blade design, giving the Guardian a secure, controlled feel while maintaining a lightweight profile. At just 3.3 ounces, it’s easy to carry every day and offers quick access when you need a dependable cutting tool close at hand.
The 3.25-inch blade is made from rugged 80CRV2 steel and measures .165 inches thick, providing a solid foundation for everyday cutting tasks. The compact blade length keeps the Guardian maneuverable and easy to carry, while the fixed-blade construction means there’s no opening mechanism to slow you down. With an overall length of 7.375 inches, the Guardian strikes a practical balance between capability and portability.
A textured tan G-10 handle gives this Guardian a distinctive appearance while providing a durable, secure gripping surface. The integrated ring is a defining feature of the design, adding another point of control and helping the knife feel stable in hand. Its lightweight construction makes it a natural choice for everyday carry, while the substantial blade thickness gives it the rugged character you’d expect from a Gahagan Customs fixed blade.
The Guardian reflects the craftsmanship and experience of Kyle Gahagan, whose interest in knifemaking began at the age of 10 during visits to his grandparents in Walterboro, South Carolina. What started with tinkering and shaping objects into tools eventually developed into a lifelong passion. After serving with the 1st Ranger Battalion and completing two tours in Afghanistan and two in Iraq, Kyle returned to North Carolina with his wife, Dana, where he renewed his focus on knifemaking in the early 2000s.
That garage hobby eventually grew into Gahagan Customs, where Kyle continues to create knives with the end user in mind. His years of research, hands-on experience, and work alongside accomplished bladesmiths have helped him develop a distinctive style focused on practical, rugged designs. Kyle earned his ABS Journeyman Smith rating at the 2015 Blade Show in Atlanta and appeared on Forged in Fire in 2016. His work has also been featured in Blade Magazine, Knife Magazine, and other publications.
With its textured tan G-10 handle, rugged 80CRV2 blade, integrated ring, and lightweight 3.3-ounce build, the Guardian is a distinctive fixed blade designed for everyday carry. It’s compact, capable, and easy to control, making it a practical addition to any EDC setup.
