The Gahagan Customs Wolfhound is a lightweight, purpose-built skinning knife designed to give hunters the control and cutting performance they need in the field. Its dedicated skinning profile features a pronounced curved belly that’s ideal for field dressing wild game, while the narrow tip allows for precise cuts when working around detailed areas. While the Wolfhound was designed with hunters in mind, its versatile blade makes it a practical choice for a variety of outdoor tasks.
The 4.375-inch blade is made from 80CRV2 steel and measures .125 inches thick. This tough carbon steel provides a durable cutting platform suited to demanding field use, while the curved belly creates an efficient cutting profile for skinning and processing game. The narrow tip gives you the control needed for more detailed cuts, making the Wolfhound a capable companion from the hunting grounds to the campsite.
The textured G-10 handle provides a secure grip while keeping the knife lightweight and comfortable to carry. This version features Natural Burlap G-10 with a contrasting orange liner, creating an earthy, outdoor-inspired appearance with a distinctive pop of color. At just 5.54 ounces, the Wolfhound is light enough to carry comfortably without feeling insubstantial when you put it to work. Its 8.375-inch overall length provides a practical balance between maneuverability and useful cutting capability.
A black retention sheath is included to keep the blade protected and the knife secure during transport and carry. Made in the USA and designed by Kyle Gahagan, the Wolfhound reflects the practical craftsmanship and field experience that have become hallmarks of Gahagan Customs.
