The GiantMouse Nimbus V2 in Natural Canvas Micarta is built for users who value purpose-driven design and everyday reliability without sacrificing style or feel. Designed by renowned knife makers Jens Anso and Jesper Voxnaes, this folder captures a blend of classic utility and modern craftsmanship, wrapped in a timeless material set that looks better with every mile it travels in your pocket.
At the heart of the Nimbus V2 is a 3" drop point blade made from premium Elmax powder steel. Elmax delivers top-tier performance in edge retention, corrosion resistance, and overall durability, making it a favorite among serious knife users. The drop point profile gives it exceptional control, while the satin finish offers a clean, wear-resistant surface ready for slicing, carving, or daily cutting tasks.
The knife opens manually with a large, easy-to-access thumb hole that offers smooth, controlled deployment. The blade rides on a ball-bearing pivot system, which enhances fluidity and ensures consistent performance over time. Once open, the blade locks in place with a steel linerlock mechanism, giving the knife a rock-solid feel and dependable lockup under pressure.
The handles are crafted from natural canvas micarta, a material known for its resilience and evolving character. Over time, the micarta develops a patina that reflects your use and environment, giving the knife a look that’s uniquely yours. The handle scales are supported by bead-blasted stainless steel liners, offering structure and subtle contrast against the natural tone of the micarta. Ergonomics are on point—contoured just right for a secure grip without excess bulk.
The Nimbus V2 also features a reversible wire pocket clip for ambidextrous tip-up carry, and a lanyard hole for customization or added retention. It measures 4.25" closed, 7.25" overall, and weighs a comfortable 3.8oz—ideal for daily carry with enough blade to handle serious work.
Made in Maniago, Italy, this knife showcases the kind of detail and precision that comes from generations of knife-making experience. It’s a tool that feels just as at home on the jobsite as it does at a weekend trailhead or in a well-worn pack. Order it today from SMKW!
