The Hinderer XM-18 3.5 Spearpoint Tri-Way Folder brings Rick Hinderer’s proven design philosophy to a premium everyday carry built for serious use. With its rugged construction, dependable Tri-Way pivot system, and distinctive orange G10 handle, this XM-18 delivers the strength and versatility Hinderer knives are known for while maintaining a refined, purpose-driven profile.
At the heart of the XM-18 is a 3.50-inch spearpoint blade crafted from MagnaCut stainless steel. MagnaCut offers an impressive combination of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance, making it an excellent choice for a hard-working folding knife. The spearpoint profile provides a strong, versatile cutting geometry with a defined point for detailed cutting tasks. A stonewash finish covers the blade, giving it a subdued appearance while helping conceal the marks that naturally come with regular use.
The 4.75-inch handle combines a rugged titanium stonewashed lockside with durable orange G10 handle material. The bright orange G10 adds a bold visual contrast to the stonewashed titanium while providing a secure, textured grip. With an overall handle thickness of 0.540 inches, the XM-18 feels substantial in hand without becoming unnecessarily bulky. The lockside measures 0.165 inches thick, while the 0.050-inch liner adds to the knife’s robust construction.
The XM-18’s Tri-Way pivot system gives you multiple bearing configurations, allowing you to tune the knife’s action to your preferred feel and maintenance setup. It’s a versatile system that complements the XM-18’s reputation for dependable performance and user-focused design.
Measuring 8.25 inches overall when open and weighing 5.6 ounces, the XM-18 3.5 strikes a practical balance between substantial construction and everyday carryability. Its spearpoint MagnaCut blade, orange G10 handle, and stonewashed hardware create a combination that’s equally at home in an EDC rotation, gear bag, or collection of premium American-made folding knives.
Whether you’re a longtime Hinderer collector or looking for a dependable folder with serious construction behind it, the XM-18 3.5 Spearpoint Tri-Way is a capable addition to any knife lineup. Rick Hinderer’s signature design, premium materials, and adjustable pivot system make this a folder you’ll want close at hand.
