Hinderer's love for vintage frontier-style butcher knives led him to create the XM-18 Folding Knife. Even in the contemporary era, the "Skinner" style makes an excellent everyday carry folding knife. It features a 3.5” CPM S45VN stainless steel skinner blade with a tumbled finish. It is a manual folder with a flipper tab and dual thumb studs operating on Hinderer’s Tri-Way pivot, which enables the end user to switch between nylon Teflon, phosphorus bronze, and ball-bearing pivots.

The ergonomic handle has a blue titanium stonewash finish frame and liner with a black and blue textured G10 presentation scale. The knife also features a frame lock, Hinderer’s frame lock stabilizer, a steel lockbar insert, stonewash hardware, and a titanium tip-up or tip-down pocket clip.
