The Honey Badger Small Medium Tanto Crossbolt Folder brings a rugged, distinctive blade profile together with the smooth, secure operation of Honey Badger’s latest Crossbolt system. Designed for strength, control, and versatility, this compact folder is fully ambidextrous and built to handle the demands of everyday carry.
The 2.95-inch tanto blade is crafted from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel and finished with a clean satin surface. Inspired by the short armor-piercing swords used by Samurai in feudal Japan, the Tanto replaces the traditional curved belly of a drop point with angular edge transitions and a strong, prominent tip. This robust profile is well suited for piercing tougher materials, while the plain cutting edge provides clean, controlled performance for everyday cutting tasks. With a 0.1-inch blade thickness, it delivers a solid balance of strength and portability without making the knife unnecessarily bulky.
The Crossbolt locking mechanism, which uses an axis-lock-style design, gives this Honey Badger smooth and effortless operation with secure blade lockup. Its fully ambidextrous construction lets you operate the lock from either side, making it equally practical for left- and right-handed users. The result is a modern locking system that complements the aggressive Tanto profile while keeping everyday operation straightforward.
The black FRN handle is durable, lightweight, and built around Honey Badger’s signature raised honeycomb texture. This multidirectional pattern provides dependable traction and helps resist slipping, even when your hands are wet or you’re wearing gloves. Ergonomic contours, handle slabs, a finger choil, and the blade spine create natural contact points that help keep your hand secure and comfortable during use.
At just 2 ounces, the Small Medium Tanto is light enough for comfortable daily carry. Its 3.98-inch closed length and slim profile make it easy to slip into a pocket, while the deep-carry pocket clip helps keep it secure and discreet. The movable clip can be positioned for left- or right-hand carry, giving you the flexibility to configure your EDC to suit your preference.
Measuring 6.9 inches overall, this Honey Badger combines a capable 8Cr13MoV blade with durable FRN construction and an advanced Crossbolt lock. Silver screws provide a subtle contrast against the black handle, while the compact design keeps the knife highly portable. Backed by a 10-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, it’s built to provide reliable performance wherever your everyday tasks take you.
