The Honey Badger Small Medium Tanto Crossbolt Folder combines a rugged, distinctive blade profile with the smooth, secure operation of Honey Badger’s advanced Crossbolt system. Designed for strength, control, and versatility, this compact folder is fully ambidextrous and easy to carry, making it a capable choice for everyday use.
The 2.95-inch Tanto blade is crafted from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel and finished with a clean satin surface. Inspired by the short armor-piercing swords used by Samurai in feudal Japan, the Tanto replaces a traditional curved belly with angular edge transitions that create a strong, prominent point. Its robust tip is well suited to piercing tougher materials, while the plain cutting edge delivers clean, controlled cuts for everyday tasks. The 0.1-inch blade thickness provides a solid balance of durability and portability.
The Crossbolt locking mechanism brings smooth, effortless operation to this distinctive blade. Using an axis-lock-style design, it provides secure blade lockup while allowing easy operation from either side of the handle. The fully ambidextrous setup makes the folder equally comfortable for left- and right-handed users, while its straightforward design keeps operation quick and intuitive.
The green FRN handle delivers a rugged combination of durability, lightweight performance, and secure grip. Honey Badger’s raised honeycomb texture provides multidirectional traction across the handle, helping resist slipping even when conditions are wet or you’re wearing gloves. Ergonomic contours, handle slabs, a finger choil, and the blade spine create natural contact points for your hand, helping provide comfortable control during use.
At only 2 ounces, this Small Medium Tanto is light enough to carry throughout the day without weighing down your pocket. The 3.98-inch closed length and slim profile keep it compact, while the deep-carry pocket clip helps keep the knife securely positioned and discreet. The movable clip can be configured for either left- or right-hand carry, letting you tailor the knife to your preferred carry style.
Measuring 6.9 inches overall, this Honey Badger pairs its capable 8Cr13MoV Tanto blade with durable FRN construction and the modern Crossbolt locking system. Silver screws provide a subtle contrast against the green handle, while the compact dimensions make this folder easy to keep close at hand. Backed by a 10-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, it’s built for dependable everyday service.
