The Kizer Whip Tail Fixed Knife combines practical fixed-blade performance with distinctive materials and a bold visual character. Designed by Jordan Scolman, this compact fixed blade is built for everyday cutting, outdoor chores, and general utility, delivering a capable package without unnecessary size or weight. With its proven sheepsfoot profile, comfortable proportions, and rugged construction, the Whip Tail is ready to work wherever you take it.
The 3.25-inch sheepsfoot blade is crafted from AEB-L stainless steel, a proven blade material valued for its toughness, fine edge performance, and ability to take an excellent working edge. Its flat grind provides an efficient cutting geometry, while the 0.118-inch blade thickness gives it a solid balance of cutting capability and durability. The satin finish highlights the clean lines of the blade and gives the Whip Tail a refined appearance that complements its more rugged personality.
The 4.26-inch handle is where this Whip Tail really stands out. Kizer combines multicolored Vortex Pattern Micarta with glow-in-the-dark G-10 to create a handle that's packed with character. The swirling Vortex pattern delivers a unique, almost hypnotic look, while the GID G-10 adds a fun nighttime twist. Exposed to light, the material stores energy and glows after dark, giving the Whip Tail an unmistakable presence even when the sun goes down.
At 7.51 inches overall, the Whip Tail strikes an excellent balance between compact carry and practical handling. The 3.25-inch blade provides plenty of useful cutting length without making the knife cumbersome, while the 4.26-inch handle offers enough real estate for a confident grip. The 62-60 HRC hardness range reflects the AEB-L blade's focus on toughness and practical edge performance, making it well suited for the everyday jobs a fixed blade is expected to handle.
The Whip Tail isn't just another compact fixed knife. It brings together a dependable stainless steel blade, a distinctive Micarta handle, and glow-in-the-dark G-10 in a package that's both functional and undeniably fun. Whether it's riding along on an outdoor adventure, helping around camp, or handling everyday cutting tasks, this Whip Tail delivers reliable performance with plenty of personality.
