Prepping large family meals shouldn't feel like a high-stress chore tied down by plain, soulless pans that offer zero personal connection or regional pride. Standard, thin skillets warp quickly under heavy thermal strain, creating erratic hot spots that burn your delicate gravies while leaving your mains undercooked. The official Lodge Cast Iron 12 Inch Seasoned South Carolina Skillet transforms your daily meal prep into an effortless, nostalgic tribute to the Palmetto State. Part of the celebrated American Road Trip series, this collectible 12-inch piece elegantly pairs legendary cast iron heat distribution with an intricately embossed homage to South Carolina's historic landmarks. Foundry pre-seasoned and ready to go, it builds a natural, chemical-free release surface that handles everything from high-heat searing to family-sized baking.
Outfitted with heavy-gauge American cast iron construction, this collectible 12-inch skillet displays a detailed cast-in South Carolina tribute across its exterior base featuring the Harbor Town Lighthouse, Myrtle Beach wildlife, and coastal canoeing scenes. Pre-seasoned with 100% natural vegetable oil, the 7.9-pound pan provides a non-toxic, PFAS-free release surface straight from the foundry. Measuring 12.56 inches in overall diameter with a 2.25-inch sidewall depth, the full-cast body incorporates an integrated front helper handle, a primary handle with a hanging loop, and dual side pour spouts compatible with gas, electric, induction, oven, grill, and campfire heat sources.
Engineered for massive thermal retention, uniform edge-to-edge browning, and wall-hanging display, this special-edition skillet holds consistent cooking temperatures across its broad surface. The chef utilizes the generous 12-inch cooking capacity to sear multi-protein entrees, fry sides, or bake low-country family meals before lifting the pan using the dual main and helper loop handles for balanced two-handed transport. Weighing 7.9 lbs, the heavy iron retains heat long after leaving the cooktop, while the dual pour spouts allow clean, controlled drainage of pan juices before the pan is cleaned and hung up by its handle loop to showcase the embossed state artwork.
