Built for uncompromising performance, the Microtech Currahee is a field-proven fixed blade rooted in American military heritage. Originally designed years ago for the U.S. Special Forces Boat Team 20, the Currahee carries a name steeped in history. “Currahee” is a Cherokee word meaning “stands alone,” and it’s also the name of the final mountain in the Blue Ridge range near Camp Toccoa, where the U.S. Army trained the first Parachute Infantry during World War II. That spirit of resilience, independence, and endurance is reflected in every aspect of this rugged working knife.
This version of the Currahee features a 4.5" partially serrated drop point blade crafted from premium Elmax steel, offering exceptional edge retention, corrosion resistance, and durability under demanding conditions. The versatile drop point profile delivers excellent slicing performance with a strong tip for controlled precision, while the partial serrations provide aggressive cutting power through rope, webbing, and other tough materials. A rugged black coated finish enhances corrosion resistance while giving the blade a low-profile tactical appearance suited for hard-use environments.
Built with full tang construction, the Currahee delivers the strength and balance serious users rely on. The black polymer handle is engineered to provide a secure, confident grip even in wet, muddy, or gloved conditions. A lanyard slot at the base comes equipped with a braided cord lanyard and knocker bead, adding extra retention and quick handling capability when speed and control matter most.
At 9.8" overall and weighing 13.35 ounces, the Currahee offers a solid balance of size and control for demanding tasks. It includes a heavy-duty ballistic nylon sheath that’s fully MOLLE compatible, allowing easy integration with packs, vests, and tactical gear. Every Currahee is proudly made in the USA with the rugged craftsmanship and precision Microtech is known for.
