Built for uncompromising performance, the Microtech Currahee is a field-proven fixed blade rooted in American military heritage. Originally designed years ago for the U.S. Special Forces Boat Team 20, the Currahee carries a name steeped in history. “Currahee” is a Cherokee word meaning “stands alone,” and it’s also the name of the final mountain in the Blue Ridge range near Camp Toccoa, where the U.S. Army trained the first Parachute Infantry during World War II. That spirit of strength, independence, and endurance is reflected in every detail of this rugged working knife.
This version of the Currahee features a 4.5" partially serrated tanto blade crafted from premium Elmax steel, delivering excellent edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness in demanding conditions. The reinforced tanto tip provides powerful piercing capability and added durability, while the partial serrations make quick work of rope, webbing, and fibrous materials. The Desert Tan coated finish enhances corrosion resistance and wear protection while giving the blade a tactical appearance suited for harsh environments.
Built with full tang construction, the Currahee offers exceptional strength and balance for hard-use reliability. The Desert Tan polymer handle is engineered for a secure, ergonomic grip that performs confidently in wet, sandy, or gloved conditions. A lanyard slot at the base comes equipped with a braided cord lanyard and knocker bead, providing added retention and quick handling capability when speed and control matter most.
Measuring 9.8" overall and weighing 13.35 ounces, the Currahee delivers solid durability without sacrificing handling. It rides securely in a heavy-duty ballistic nylon sheath that’s fully MOLLE compatible, allowing easy attachment to packs, vests, and tactical gear. Every Currahee is proudly made in the USA with the rugged craftsmanship and precision Microtech is known for.
