Designed years ago for the U.S. Special Forces Boat Team 20, the Currahee carries a name steeped in tradition. “Currahee” is a Cherokee word meaning “stands alone,” and it’s also the name of the final mountain in the Blue Ridge range near Camp Toccoa, where the U.S. Army trained the first Parachute Infantry during World War II. That heritage of strength, independence, and endurance is reflected in every detail of this formidable blade.
The Currahee is built around a 4.5" partially serrated tanto blade crafted from premium Elmax steel, delivering exceptional edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness in demanding environments. The aggressive tanto profile provides outstanding piercing strength, while the partial serrations bite through rope, webbing, and fibrous materials with authority. A durable black coated finish adds a non-reflective tactical look while protecting the blade from wear and the elements.
This knife features a full tang construction that runs the entire length of the handle for maximum durability and control. The black polymer handle is engineered for a secure grip in harsh conditions, whether wet, gloved, or under heavy use. A lanyard slot is integrated into the handle and comes fitted with a braided cord lanyard and knocker bead for added retention and quick handling in the field.
