Its 3.5" fully serrated tanto blade is crafted from Microtech’s proprietary Böhler M390MK stainless steel and finished in a black DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating. The DLC finish delivers exceptional surface hardness, increased wear resistance, and a low-reflective tactical appearance built for serious use. The tanto profile reinforces the tip for added strength during piercing and controlled utility tasks, while the full serration provides aggressive cutting performance through rope, cord, and fibrous materials with maximum bite. Developed in collaboration with Böhler engineers, M390MK refines the already elite M390 steel, improving edge retention, corrosion resistance, and long-term toughness under demanding conditions.
