SHOP CASE KNIVESThe Microtech Mini UDT has returned by popular demand, bringing back one of the most respected compact automatics ever produced. This legendary out-the-side design helped establish Microtech’s reputation for precision machining and uncompromising reliability. For years collectors have asked to see the Mini UDT return, and this revival delivers the same compact strength and mechanical confidence that made the original such a standout.
This version features a 2.37" premium steel drop point blade with a rugged stonewashed finish and a partially serrated edge. The stonewash treatment gives the blade a durable, work-ready appearance while helping conceal the marks of everyday use. The combination edge boosts cutting versatility, pairing a smooth slicing section with serrations that power through rope, webbing, and other tough materials. A push-button automatic mechanism sends the blade snapping open instantly and locks it solidly into place, providing the fast, dependable deployment Microtech is known for.
The handle is crafted from aircraft-grade aluminum and finished in textured olive drab green for a rugged, tactical look. The texturing offers a secure grip without adding bulk, and the aluminum construction keeps the knife both tough and impressively lightweight. Measuring just 3.25" closed and weighing only 1.2 ounces, the Mini UDT carries easily in the pocket and stays comfortable throughout the day. A lanyard hole at the base provides another convenient carry option and makes quick retrieval easy.
Microtech’s dedication to meticulous machining and premium materials is evident throughout the knife. Every detail reflects decades of American knife-making expertise and a commitment to building high-performance tools designed to last.
