SHOP CASE KNIVESThe Microtech SOCOM Elite Automatic Knife in DLC M390MK Tanto with Tan handles is a proven platform built for strength, speed, and everyday readiness. Designed by Tony Marfione, it reflects the performance-first mindset that’s made the SOCOM name synonymous with dependable automatic knives.
The 3.98-inch tanto blade is crafted from Böhler M390MK premium steel, an exclusive alloy developed in collaboration with engineers at Böhler to enhance edge retention and corrosion resistance beyond the already respected M390 formula. This high-performance steel is engineered for demanding conditions, offering long-lasting sharpness and durability. The two-tone black and satin finish adds visual contrast while supporting wear resistance, giving the blade a refined yet tactical appearance. The tanto profile reinforces the tip for piercing strength while maintaining excellent slicing capability along the main edge.
As an out-the-side automatic, the SOCOM Elite features a push-button system that deploys and locks the blade with speed and authority. The action is smooth and responsive, designed for confident operation when quick access matters most.
The uniquely patterned tan aluminum handles are enhanced with textured black rubber inserts, creating a secure, comfortable grip that performs well in varied conditions. The combination of materials improves control while adding distinctive style. A stainless steel pocket clip supports reliable carry, while the integrated glass breaker increases emergency utility. A lanyard hole adds additional versatility for retention options. At 5.06 inches closed and 5.6 ounces, it carries comfortably while maintaining a solid, substantial feel in hand.
Proudly made in the USA, this SOCOM Elite showcases Microtech’s commitment to precision machining, premium materials, and performance-driven design from start to finish.
