The Ultratech Outbreak Edition takes Microtech’s legendary out-the-front automatic and throws it straight into the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse. Built around a rugged, horror-inspired aesthetic, this version combines a partially serrated blade with distressed, blood-spattered handles and a biohazard graphic for an Ultratech that’s as much a conversation piece as it is a precision-built OTF.
The 3.35-inch drop point blade is crafted from Microtech’s proprietary Böhler M390MK premium steel and given an unmistakable Apocalyptic finish. The heavily weathered treatment complements the Outbreak Edition’s distressed appearance, while the partially serrated edge adds aggressive cutting capability and versatility. Developed in collaboration with Böhler engineers, M390MK is an exclusive steel designed to improve edge retention and corrosion resistance compared to the already-popular M390.
Distressed green 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum handles give this Ultratech its unmistakable post-apocalyptic character. A blood spatter effect creates the look of a knife that’s been through the aftermath of an outbreak, while the rear handle carries a bold biohazard symbol graphic that reinforces the zombie-horror theme.
The Ultratech’s signature thumb slide delivers fast, controlled out-the-front automatic deployment and retraction. An ambidextrous stainless steel pocket clip provides convenient carry, while the integrated glass breaker adds practical utility to the rugged package.
At 5.01 inches closed and weighing 3.5 ounces, this Ultratech remains compact and lightweight despite its hard-edged styling. Proudly made in the USA, the Outbreak Edition brings together Microtech engineering, premium materials, and unapologetic horror-movie attitude in one unforgettable OTF.
