Microtech brings one of its most compact automatic knives back with a new generation of performance in the UTX-70 Gen IV. Measuring just 6 inches overall and weighing only 1.4 ounces, this double-action OTF automatic knife packs serious cutting capability into an exceptionally small package. Its compact footprint makes it easy to carry in a pocket, watch pocket, small bag, or everyday carry kit without the bulk of a full-size knife.
The UTX-70 Gen IV features a 2.5-inch double-edge blade designed for versatile cutting performance. Its Apocalyptic finish gives the blade a rugged, battle-worn appearance while adding distinctive Microtech styling. The blue handle brings a bold splash of color to the design, creating a striking contrast with the dark, weathered appearance of the blade. Despite its diminutive size, the UTX-70 maintains the solid construction and purposeful design Microtech is known for.
This Gen IV model also introduces Microtech's Crud Kutter and Dual-Fuel Drive Train technologies. The Crud Kutter system is designed to help keep debris from interfering with the knife's operation, while the Dual-Fuel Drive Train is engineered to provide dependable automatic deployment and retraction. Together, these upgrades add another level of functionality to an already proven OTF platform.
As a double-action OTF, the UTX-70 allows the blade to deploy and retract automatically with the push and pull of the firing button. This makes one-handed operation quick and convenient when you need a cutting tool that's ready without taking up much room. The small size also makes it an easy companion for everyday tasks where a larger knife would feel excessive.
Made in the USA, the Microtech UTX-70 Gen IV combines compact proportions, automatic functionality, rugged styling, and modern mechanical upgrades in one highly portable package. Whether it's carried as a lightweight everyday cutting tool or added to a collection of Microtech OTFs, this UTX-70 delivers plenty of personality and capability without weighing you down.
