The Microtech UTX-70 GEN IV brings serious Microtech performance to an exceptionally compact platform. Designed for those who want the functionality of a hard-use cutting tool without the size and weight of a full-size knife, this double-action OTF automatic is small enough to fit comfortably in a watch pocket while still delivering the rugged performance you'd expect from Microtech.
The 2.5-inch tanto-edge blade features an Apocalyptic finish that gives the knife a battle-worn, rugged appearance while adding plenty of character to its compact design. The tanto profile offers a strong, reinforced point and practical cutting geometry, making it well suited for everyday cutting tasks. Paired with the black handle, the Apocalyptic blade creates a subdued, hard-use aesthetic that looks right at home in a serious EDC rotation.
The UTX-70's double-action OTF mechanism gives you convenient one-handed deployment and retraction, with the blade traveling directly through the front of the handle. Its compact construction makes it easy to carry and access without taking up valuable pocket space. At just 1.4 ounces, this lightweight automatic practically disappears in your EDC while remaining ready when you need a dependable cutting tool.
Measuring 6 inches overall with a 2.5-inch blade, the UTX-70 is remarkably nimble. Its small footprint means it can slip into a watch pocket, smaller pocket, organizer, or compact bag where a larger knife would be cumbersome. It's an excellent choice for everyday carriers who value portability and want the convenience of an OTF automatic without committing to the bulk of a full-size model.
As part of the GEN IV UTX-70 family, this Microtech combines a compact design with the precision-focused manufacturing the brand is known for. The black handle and Apocalyptic-finished blade give it a rugged, understated presence, while its lightweight construction keeps it easy to carry throughout the day.
Proudly made in the USA, the Microtech UTX-70 GEN IV is a compact automatic built for convenient everyday carry. When space is limited but you still want a capable OTF at your side, the UTX-70 delivers a hard-use attitude in an impressively small package.
