Its 3.11-inch full-serrated tanto blade is crafted from Microtech’s proprietary Böhler M390MK stainless steel and finished in a rugged stonewash that helps conceal the marks of hard use. Developed in collaboration with engineers at Böhler, M390MK is an exclusive steel designed to improve edge retention and corrosion resistance over the already respected M390.
The double-action OTF mechanism fires the blade with authority at the push of the thumb slide, which also retracts and locks the blade securely in place. Black 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum handles provide a durable, lightweight foundation, while the compact 4.4-inch closed length makes the UTX-85 especially well suited to everyday carry.
An ambidextrous stainless steel pocket clip offers versatile carry, while the lanyard hole and integrated glass breaker add practical utility. Weighing just 3.1 ounces, the UTX-85 won't weigh you down, but its full-serrated edge and tanto profile give it plenty of working capability.
