The Morakniv Amberg Black Blade (C) is a versatile outdoor knife designed for adventurers who need dependable performance, comfortable handling, and durable construction in the field. Made in Mora, Sweden, this fixed blade combines more than 135 years of Swedish knife-making expertise with modern materials and thoughtful design. Whether you're hiking through the mountains, setting up camp, fishing along the river, or tackling everyday outdoor tasks, the Amberg delivers the control and reliability you need to take on your next adventure.
At the heart of this knife is a 4.3-inch blade crafted from German C100S carbon steel, offering a solid balance of strength, edge retention, and field maintainability. The blade features a black DLC coating that helps protect against corrosion while reducing unwanted reflections, giving the knife a sleek, tactical appearance. With a 0.13-inch blade thickness and a hardness of 57.5 HRC, it provides dependable performance for demanding outdoor chores while remaining manageable for more precise work. The traditional Scandi grind delivers an effective cutting edge that's easy to maintain, making it a practical choice for users who value straightforward performance in the wilderness. Its spine is also ground for compatibility with a ferro rod, allowing you to use the knife when preparing a fire at camp.
The Amberg's Black Skies handle is engineered for comfort, stability, and control in changing conditions. Its three-component construction combines a sturdy polypropylene core with a thermoplastic elastomer outer layer, creating a durable grip that feels comfortable during extended use. A flatter profile accommodates a variety of hand sizes and gripping styles, while the tapered front and ridged spine improve control during detailed cutting tasks. The finely textured surface has been laboratory tested to provide a secure grip even when wet, cold, or greasy. A finger guard adds another layer of control, while the lanyard hole offers an additional carrying option.
Morakniv includes an ambidextrous dark gray Click-On sheath designed for convenient everyday outdoor carry. The sheath accommodates both left- and right-side carry and comes equipped with a belt loop. An included Click-On Mount lets you attach the knife to compatible gear, including backpacks, bicycles, ATVs, and boats, keeping it accessible when adventure takes you beyond the trail. Measuring 9.1 inches overall and weighing approximately 5.93 ounces, the Amberg balances substantial construction with practical portability.
Built for outdoor enthusiasts ready to expand their capabilities, the Morakniv Amberg Black Blade combines dependable carbon steel, a comfortable modern handle, and versatile carry options in a Swedish-made fixed blade.
