Manufactured in Mora, Sweden, the Companion S carries forward more than 130 years of knife-making tradition, delivering dependable utility in a lightweight, easy-to-carry package.
At the heart of this outdoor knife is a 4.1-inch blade made from Alleima 12C27 Swedish stainless steel, featuring a recycled content of over 80%. With a blade thickness of 2.5 mm and a hardness rating of 56.5 HRC, it offers a dependable balance of strength, stability, and cutting performance. The Scandinavian grind provides excellent control for everyday cutting tasks, while the profile-ground blade delivers a sharp edge that's easy to maintain. Its stainless steel construction helps resist corrosion, making it a practical choice for changing weather conditions and frequent outdoor use.
Versatility is a defining feature of the Companion S. From preparing food at the campsite and cutting cordage to handling materials for a wilderness shelter, this dependable knife is designed to tackle the demands of outdoor life. Its stiff blade construction provides stability during use, while the ergonomic polymer handle features a patterned TPE rubber friction surface for a comfortable, secure grip. The black handle offers a classic contrast against the Olive Green sheath, while the integrated finger guard helps provide added control during cutting tasks. The textured grip is designed to maintain a confident hold, even when conditions become wet or unpredictable.
The Olive Green polypropylene sheath complements the knife's rugged appearance while protecting the blade during transport. Designed with a practical belt clip, it keeps the Companion S conveniently accessible on hikes, camping trips, and other outdoor excursions. Its ambidextrous design accommodates both right- and left-handed users, offering flexible carry options for different preferences and situations.
Measuring 8.6 inches overall, with a 4.1-inch blade and a weight of just 4.18 ounces, the Morakniv Companion S delivers practical cutting capability without adding unnecessary bulk to your gear. Its combination of Swedish stainless steel, a comfortable black TPE-grip handle, and an Olive Green sheath makes it a dependable choice for anyone seeking a straightforward, versatile outdoor knife backed by generations of Swedish craftsmanship.
