At the heart of this compact knife is a 2.3-inch blade crafted from Swedish 12C27 stainless steel manufactured by Alleima. Featuring a 56.5 HRC hardness rating, this dependable steel offers excellent corrosion resistance and reliable cutting performance for everyday tasks. The blade has a practical Scandi grind that provides efficient cutting geometry and makes it well suited for carving, whittling, and general utility work. With a 2mm blade thickness, polished spine, and stiff construction, it offers a solid balance of control and durability. The blade also features a 3/4-length tang and a protective finger guard for added confidence during use. Keep in mind that this Light Duty model isn't compatible with ferro rods.
The barrel-shaped handle is designed to sit comfortably in your hand, while its Dusty Blue TPE rubber construction provides a textured, nonslip grip that stays secure even when conditions get wet. A convenient lanyard hole offers another carrying option, making it easy to keep this compact tool within reach. Weighing just 2.78 ounces and measuring 5.7 inches overall, the Eldris Light Duty won't weigh down your everyday carry setup.
Morakniv includes a matching Dusty Blue polymer sheath to protect the blade when it's not in use. Its ambidextrous design accommodates both right- and left-handed users, while its compact profile makes it easy to carry in a pocket, attach to a tool belt, or tuck into a backpack. You can even keep one in your toolbox or kitchen drawer for quick access to a dependable cutting tool.
Proudly made in Mora, Sweden, where Morakniv has been crafting knives for 135 years, the Eldris Light Duty brings generations of Swedish knife-making tradition into a compact everyday design. From small outdoor chores to everyday cutting tasks around the house, this little fixed blade is ready to earn its place in your gear.
