The Morakniv Mörkret S Pitch Black is a heavy-duty survival knife engineered for demanding outdoor adventures, bushcraft, and challenging fieldwork. Combining a robust full-tang construction with Swedish 14C28N stainless steel, this fixed blade delivers dependable strength, long-lasting sharpness, and excellent corrosion resistance. Its all-black design, durable materials, and practical features make it a capable companion for users who need reliable performance when conditions turn tough.
At the heart of the Mörkret is a 6-inch blade crafted from Alleima 14C28N stainless steel, hardened and cryogenically treated to 58 HRC. Measuring 0.165 inches thick, the blade balances cutting performance with the strength needed for demanding outdoor tasks. Its High Flat grind with a secondary bevel leaves additional steel behind the edge, enhancing durability during heavy-duty work. Whether you're processing wood, carving tools, preparing camp, or building a shelter, this sturdy blade provides the control and cutting capability needed to tackle a variety of challenges.
The full-tang construction extends the steel through the handle, providing a solid foundation for strength, balance, and efficient power transfer. The edge runs all the way into the handle, allowing you to work closer to the material with improved control. Its ferro rod-compatible spine adds practical fire-starting capability, while the sharpened exposed tang at the rear can scrape tinder or strike a ferro rod when it's time to get a fire going.
Morakniv equips the Mörkret with a glass-fiber-reinforced Power Touch Grip designed to combine a comfortable feel with high impact resistance. The textured pitch-black polymer handle offers dependable traction in wet, cold, and damp conditions, while ridges along the spine help maintain control when wearing gloves. A protective finger guard adds security during demanding cutting tasks, and the integrated lanyard hole provides a convenient attachment point for cord or paracord.
For secure and versatile carry, the Mörkret includes an ambidextrous black polymer sheath with a Click-On locking system that keeps the knife firmly in place. Its mounting pattern accommodates TEK-LOK accessories and MOLLE-compatible rails, giving you flexibility when configuring your carry setup. The included LIBA Smart belt loop functions as a dangler and features a secondary locking mechanism for convenient attachment and removal.
Made in Mora, Sweden, with more than 135 years of knife-making expertise behind it, the Morakniv Mörkret S measures 11 inches overall and weighs approximately 10.65 ounces. It's a robust outdoor tool that combines Swedish stainless steel, thoughtful ergonomics, and dependable construction.
